Cllr Liam Dean stands in front of the Bury Coat of Arms with his petition to resurface Waterside Road, Summerseat

Cllr Liam Dean has handed in the signatures received so far from local people asking for Waterside Road, Summerseat, to be resurfaced.

In July this year, Cllr Liam Dean launched his petition to resurface Waterside Road, Summerseat.
Waterside Road, a busy village road often used for junior sports events, has deteriorated with potholes and loose surfacing.
Despite Cllr Liam Dean's recommendation for its inclusion in Highway Improvement Schemes, it was not selected, unlike Peel Hall Road.
Recently Cllr Dean brought the Chief Executive of Bury Council to Waterside Road so she could see the extent of the problem in person. Whilst there Cllr Dean also raised the concerns of blocked drains and other concerns he has received through casework.
