Liam was first elected to represent North Manor in May 2021. He represents the ward with Cllrs. Roger Brown and Khalid Hussain.
In 2020 Liam was elected as Deputy Chairman for Membership and Finance of Bury North and South Conservative Association. Following his election in 2021, he was appointed as the Conservative Council Group's Chief Whip. In May 2022, following his re-election, Liam was appointed as Shadow Cabinet Member for Culture and the Economy. In the municipal year 2023-24 Liam was promoted to Shadow Cabinet Member for Environment, Operations and Transport.
Liam was elected in North Manor following the previous post holder, James Daly, being elected to Parliament in the 2019 General Election. Liam has continued James' strong community presence, holding regular monthly surgeries with residents across the ward.
Committed to ensuring the villages of Hawkshaw, Greenmount, Holcombe Brook, Summerseat, Walmersley and Nangreaves get their fair share of Council Services, Liam is a passionate advocate for the ward.
Outside of politics Liam serves as Chair of Governors at Summerseat Methodist Primary School.
Liam served as Deputy Chairman, Membership and Finance of Bury North and South Conservative Association from 2020 until 2022. During this time the association membership grew steadily and finances were strong.
