Conservative Councillor for Radcliffe North

I would like to introduce myself as the Conservative Councillor for the Radcliffe North Ward.

I am from a military family and I was born on a well-known army garrison. My family moved to Radcliffe when I was still at primary school, and we have called Radcliffe our home ever since. Our first Radcliffe residence was on Holland Court, we then moved to the Ainsworth Road area when I was in my high school years.

I am a former Radcliffe High School pupil and I have been passionate about campaigning for the new high school with our Conservative MP Christian Wakeford.

I attended Bury College in my late teens and spent nearly 9 years travelling the world, working in many roles such as agriculture, hospitality and teaching English. I am now a restaurant owner and I have settled in Ainsworth Village with my husband and two young children.

Why did I want to be a councillor?

Since becoming a part of the Radcliffe North community 5 years ago I have been actively involved in our community organisations and events. I am enthusiastic about making the most out of our local area and I want see positive changes in the future for our local residents.

For me the most important thing for our ward is that we continue to thrive. We all hear many people saying Radcliffe, Bradley Fold and Ainsworth get left behind and I want to make sure we get the same services, opportunities and standards as many of the other towns and villages in Bury.

I am a member of Bury Folk keep it green and I oppose the GMSF. I want to save our green belt for our future generations and make sure we build on brown belt first.

Some of my achievements in Radcliffe North so far....

  • Road markings and potholes on Countess Lane, campaigning with Cllrs Paul Cropper & Sam Hurst.
  • New equipment for the park in Ainsworth.
  • I have successfully campaigned for the road markings on Bury Old Road to Arthur lane to be redone.
  • I have brought a local pantomime to Ainsworth Village and the first show is planned for February 2022.
