Last night at Full Council, our motion opposing yet another unfair tax on hospitality operators was voted down.
At a time when pubs, restaurants, cafés and other hospitality businesses are already facing rising costs and challenging trading conditions, it is disappointing to see additional financial burdens being supported rather than challenged.
Labour voted against the motion.
Radcliffe First abstained.
We will continue to stand up for our local hospitality sector, the jobs it supports, and the vital contribution it makes to our communities and local economy.
