New Look Conservative Group

Bury Conservative Group have unanimously re-elected Cllr. Nick Jones as their Group Leader and Cllr. Paul Cropper as Deputy Leader at the Groups Annual Meeting in this evening. Cllr. Jones and Cllr. Cropper have been leading the Conservative Group since January.

New provisional population figures would see a dramatic reduction in the housing need for Bury over the next 20 years.

There would be no need to build on any green-belt land within our town as proposed in Labour’s Greater Manchester Spatial Framework (GMSF).

The local elections in Bury on the 2nd May will decide the future of large areas of land currently classified as green-belt within our borough.

Conservatives Fight the Flytipping Epidemic

Residents across Bury have made clear that fly-tipping is becoming a blight on our community. Back alleys, parks and pavements have become a dumping group for unwanted items and rubbish. In some areas this has led to the presence of vermin including rats, which is a threat to public health.

James Daly selected to contest Bury North

At a Special General Meeting of Bury Conservative Association today, Councillor James Daly was selected as the Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bury North at the next General Election.
