As we look toward the local elections in May 2027, the time to build our momentum is now. We are officially opening the search for dedicated, driven candidates ready to represent their wards and fly the flag for the Conservative Party here in Bury.
We are aiming to have our first phase of candidates confirmed by this August. By starting our selection process early, we ensure we have the strongest possible team ready to engage with residents and articulate a clear, positive vision for our borough.
A Clear Vision for Bury
Under the bold leadership of Kemi Badenoch, our party is moving forward with confidence and clarity. Kemi’s performances at the dispatch box every Wednesday are a masterclass in strong opposition offering a sharp, principled, and autonomous voice that reminds us exactly what true Conservative leadership looks like.
We have a proven track record here in Bury. We only need to look at the tangible progress delivered by our previous Conservative Member of Parliament
from the vital investment in our historic Bury Market to the safeguarding of Bury Football Club to see the difference that Conservative values can make to our local community.
Now, we need to ensure that the Conservative voice remains present, clear, and focused on delivering for the people of Bury.

Note: If you are already on our approved candidates list, there is no need to re-apply. We will be in touch with all approved candidates by the end of July regarding the next steps for ward selection.
